chiru opens new party office

The Praja Rajyam Party onSunday became the first political outfit to have two swank, corporate-styled offices within two months of its formation, with president Chiranjeevi throwing open about 30,000 sft across three floors in a building on Road. No. 5, Jubilee Hills near Annapurna Seven Acres.

While expressing his apologies if people felt insulted in the past two months due to constraints of space, the megastar promised that people would now have better space to work out of and meet, interact with him too. Interestingly, soon after he inaugurated the new office, he told party managers that instead of covering Nalgonda and Khammam districts as originally planned in phase two of his Praja Ankitha Yatra, he would now tour Warangal and Karimnagar. As soon as he said that, Core Committee member and ex- IPS officer C. Anjaneya Reddy and his team started chalking out a fresh schedule spanning five days but to be completed before Diwali.

For the first time, Mr. Chiranjeevi was accompanied on the dais by about half-a-dozen top people in his political party. They included ex-IAS officers Thota Chandrasekhar, K.S.R. Murthy, Mr. Anjaneya Reddy, spokesman Dr. P. Mitra, ex-MP Ch. Hari Rama Jogaiah and BC leader from Telangana V.G.R. Naragoni.

The new office will be used from now on, for almost all of the party's activities. The current one on Road NO. 46, Jubilee Hills will be the President's Secretariat and access will be barred for all but the most important of party leaders. Mr. Chiranjeevi will interact with members of the Core Committee and select leaders.
